Robyn Rihanna - also known as Rihanna is an Barbadian pop singer and songwriter. She has had hits including Pon de Replay, SOS umbrella and Take a Bow. She is a very popular performer who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and more than 150 million songs. Her parents were originally from Barbados She began singing in the early years of her life. Disturbed by their chaotic home life as well as endless arguments with her parents she immersed herself in music and before long discovered that she was destined to make it as a professional. The group she formed was a musical one while still in high school and was able to have an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. He suggested that she move towards New York in order to make a career of it as a singer which she gladly did. The album she released her debut album soon out and Rihanna began to become a sensation soon. Rihanna's songs that were a little giddy were most popular among young people, motivating her into film. She is a young, gifted woman who has been a style icon and a teen celebrity. Rihanna makes use of her fame to do good and actively supports several charities.
