Jana Kramer bio

Jana Kramer gained fame as a performer, actress, and songwriter, when she was a character in the series One Tree Hill. She played Alex for three of its last four seasons. The series featured her first albums as country music, propelling her 2012 debut album on the Billboard 200 to the Top 20. Thirty One, her follow-up album released in 2015, made it to in the Top Ten. In the last decade, she was a guest as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars as she did in TV films and a number of television shows. She also released several singles, but they were not albums. In 2021, the album The Doubting Voices made its debut. Born and raised in Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer was raised on country music. Later, she would make a record career, but she started her career as an actor making her onscreen debut in the indie horror film Dead/Undead when she was still in her teen years. NBC Friday Night Lights, the second season, 2007-2008. After a series of guest roles in All My Children (including CSI: NY), she landed a recurring role as Noelle Davenport. Kramer was next seen on 90210 for the character of Portia Randson in 2008 through 2009 as well as Brooke Manning for Entourage 2009. Then in 2009, she was part of the cast of One Tree Hill in the role of Alex Dupre. Kramer remained in the role until midway through the final season of One Tree Hill. It was later included as a track on Jana Kramer, her debut album, which was released in 2012. This song landed in Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, which is in the Top Five. In the following years, she concentrated her acting career around music and acted in films like Heart of the Country 2013 as well as Country Crush 2016, which attracted her followers directly. Kramer dropped her second album Thirty One with Warner Music Nashville in October 2015. It was boosted by the Top Five country song I Got the Boy and also as a duet performed with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. The album climbed to number 3 on the Billboard 200 country charts and number 10 in the Billboard 200. Starting in September of 2016, her two month stint on 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars ended in a fourth-place finish. In the same year, it was Feels Like Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser became hugely popular among adults.
